Privacy Policy

A clear explanation of how ChatSweep handles visible AI conversation entries, browser-local activity records and exports.

1. Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how ChatSweep (the browser extension, version 0.10.5) handles information when used on supported AI chat websites. It is published by RevCore Astra. For privacy questions or support, contact revcoreastra@gmail.com.

ChatSweep is an independent browser extension. Supported AI websites have their own privacy policies and account settings.

2. Information ChatSweep processes

Depending on the feature you use and what is visible on the current AI website, the extension may process:

  • Visible conversation titles and links, including text that could identify a person or reflect personal communications.
  • Supported website and tab information, such as the currently open site and conversation URL, to identify compatible interfaces.
  • Review and deletion information, including selected chat titles/URLs, action timestamps, authorization decisions, result status, operation references and local diagnostic messages.
  • Settings and preferences, including appearance, auto-refresh, detection, suggestions and reminder choices.
  • Exported records when you explicitly choose to create a local CSV.

Some conversation titles may incidentally reveal sensitive topics. ChatSweep does not seek to infer health, financial or location attributes from them. Its visible-history export does not intentionally copy complete prompt-and-response message bodies.

3. How and why information is used

ChatSweep uses this information to find conversation entries already visible or loaded on compatible websites, display them in a side panel, help you search and review entries, export titles and links, save your preferences, and maintain a local record of user-authorized actions.

Where direct deletion is supported, ChatSweep interacts with the AI website’s own controls only after you review and explicitly authorize the target. If it cannot reliably identify a target or confirmation control, it is designed to stop. A chat disappearing from the sidebar is not an independent server-side deletion receipt.

4. Local storage, sharing and third-party websites

Local-first by design. In the inspected ChatSweep v0.10.5 package, we found no built-in analytics endpoint, advertising SDK, publisher account service or upload path sending extracted conversation titles, links or activity logs to RevCore Astra servers.

Settings and activity records are stored in browser extension storage on your device. Exported CSV files are saved to a location chosen or managed by your browser.

ChatSweep does not sell these records or share them with advertisers. It does not require you to create a ChatSweep account or buy a subscription.

When you visit, open, or delete a chat on a third-party AI service, that service handles the relevant web requests and data according to its own terms and privacy practices. ChatSweep cannot control the AI provider’s server-side retention, security or deletion behavior.

5. Browser permissions and supported services

The extension requests the Chrome sidePanel, storage, tabs and scripting permissions, together with access to specified AI chat website domains. These permissions support the side panel, saved preferences, current-tab recognition, conversation discovery and explicitly authorized website interactions.

Site integrations are limited to the domains declared in the extension manifest. Not every supported website permits the same operations. Detection may show only conversations currently visible or loaded into the website interface, rather than your entire account history.

6. Retention and security

ChatSweep keeps its local preferences and activity records until they are changed or removed through available browser/extension controls, or when extension data is cleared. The audited code limits its main local deletion audit history to the newest 2,000 events; older entries may be replaced automatically.

A downloaded CSV remains on your device until you delete it. ChatSweep does not automatically encrypt locally exported files, so use your device’s normal security and backup protections. Uninstalling the extension may remove its stored data but will not automatically delete previously exported files or chats retained by AI providers.

7. Your choices and privacy requests

You can choose whether to review or export visible entries, confirm or cancel a proposed deletion, change available Automation Center preferences, manage ChatSweep’s site permissions in Chrome, and disable or uninstall the extension. You can also clear relevant local extension data using browser controls.

To ask a privacy question, report a concern, or request help with local records, email revcoreastra@gmail.com. Because the current extension stores these records locally rather than in a RevCore Astra user account, we may not be able to access or recover records held only on your device.

8. Children and sensitive information

ChatSweep is not designed or marketed specifically for children. Avoid exporting or storing confidential or sensitive conversation titles unless necessary for your use. Anyone using an AI provider remains subject to that provider’s own age requirements and privacy terms.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if ChatSweep’s features, data practices, or applicable obligations change. We will update the effective date on this page. Material changes to user-data handling may also require additional in-product disclosure or consent where applicable.
